When does the price increase come into force?
The new prices and extended services will come into force for all customers from 1 September 2024. All existing contracts will remain at the old conditions until then.
By how much will prices increase?
We will adjust our SLA packages and integrate additional services to offer even more added value:
- Managed Basic: increase in the monthly fee from €40 to €60
- Managed Business: increase in the monthly fee from €120 to €150
- Managed Enterprise: no increase
What additional services will I receive as a result of the price increase?
We will integrate the following additional services into these Managed packages:
- Active shop performance recommendations and executions (quarterly for Basic, monthly for Business and above).
Free support for backup restores - Guaranteed advice when domain certificates expire and proactive renewal of certificates in emergency cases
- Guaranteed Notifications if automatic renewal of Let's Encrypt certificates is not possible and proactive renewal of certificates in emergency cases
In addition to the existing Managed packages, we will be introducing a Managed Dev package for a monthly fee of €20 for Dev and Stage systems in response to many customer requests.

Do the new prices apply immediately to existing contracts?
No, the new prices and extended services will come into force for all customers from 1 September 2024. All existing contracts will remain at the old conditions until then
Can I avoid the price increase by renewing my contract early?
As we have monthly cancellable contracts, this is not possible.
What happens if I do not agree with the price increase?
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our colleagues in the Technical Advisory Service at beratung@maxcluster.de or by phone (05251/41 41 350).
How can I take advantage of the new services?
The additional benefits will be automatically activated in your existing package from 1 September 2024. You don't need to do anything else.
Are further price increases expected in the near future?
No further price increases are currently planned. Since maxcluster was founded, we have managed to keep our prices completely stable. We have made a conscious decision not to pass on costs such as exorbitant increases in energy costs - to name just one area - to our customers. However, although we have taken an incredible number of measures to become even more efficient and save costs, these are now much higher than they were two or three years ago. However, we want to continue to offer our customers highest performance and unrivalled reliability. And to guarantee this, we are implementing what we consider to be an appropriate and fair price adjustment this year.
How will the price increase be integrated into my bill?
The new prices will be shown clearly and transparently on your invoice.
Will the price increase affect technical support?
Yes, we want to become even better. In recent weeks, we have added a new Knowledge Base to our 24/7 service for quick self-help. In addition, we have recruited further specialists to strengthen our service department and are planning to optimise monitoring and night call readiness
Which technical features am I already benefiting from?
Success also requires security, which is why the past 12 months have been characterised by focused developments and optimisations in the area of IT security. Here we would like to draw particular attention to the robust, multi-secured backup process, enhancements to our in-house development ShopSecurity and many other cyber security measures.
And that's not all:
- We have achieved significant performance improvements for our existing customers by migrating our WebClusters to modern hardware.
- The clock rates are up to 30% better than the best servers from AWS.
- A new virtualisation of our platform has also led to better loading times.
Is there anything I need to bear in mind when booking the Dev package?
Please note the following information:
- If you have set up a VPN tunnel on the Dev system, no Managed Dev can be booked for this.
- It is possible to convert your existing staging clusters to Managed Dev. For testing and conversion, please send the corresponding request to beratung@maxcluster.de.
What is the outlook for the coming months?
Optimised development environments and Offsite backups are just a few of the topics that you will benefit from in the future for more flexibility, security and data sovereignty.
We will continue to keep you up to date on all innovations and existing added value in the blog, newsletter and on our website.
