Twice is already a tradition: our maxcluster Partner Day 2024 was like a land of milk and honey for tech nerds, networkers and LEGO enthusiasts – a celebration of ideas, encounters and good food 🙂

Two days full of new insights, exciting lectures and valuable encounters with industry experts offered the perfect opportunity to exchange ideas, learn from each other and grow together.

maxcluster Partner Day 2024

Before we knew it, our second maxcluster Partner Day was over. Two intensive days full of inspiring discussions, fascinating lectures and encounters with impressive personalities that will resonate for a long time to come. There was so much new to learn and experience: informative lectures and panel talks, a creative LEGO workshop, delicious food and a great after-show party where we could celebrate together and review what we had experienced.

Why do we organize the Partner Day?

Since 2023, we have been looking forward to welcoming our partners to our maxcluster Partner Day once a year. But why is this event so important to us? What makes the Partner Day such an integral part of our calendar?

Welcome Partners

The answer is obvious: it is about much more than pure networking. Our Partner Day stands for:

Living and strengthening partnerships

Our partners are not just customers or service providers – they are an integral part of our community. The Partner Day offers the perfect platform for cultivating and deepening these relationships. Here we meet as equals, inspire each other and learn from each other. It is these personal encounters and conversations that make our partnerships vibrant and elevate them far beyond the everyday.

Sharing knowledge and growing together

Another reason why we organize the Partner Day is to share knowledge and experiences. The digital and technological landscapes are constantly evolving, and only through continuous exchange can we keep our finger on the pulse. Our exciting lectures, interactive workshops, and discussions enable all participants to learn new things, discover innovative approaches, and expand their expertise. Together we are stronger and better able to meet the challenges of tomorrow.

Space for innovation and creativity

LEGO-Workshop

Innovation does not grow in isolation – it thrives where ideas meet, creative exchange is encouraged and the courage to break new ground prevails. Our Partner Day offers exactly this space – a place where creativity is encouraged and ideas can flourish. Whether it's the LEGO workshop, casual conversations over a cup of coffee or brainstorming together, there is room for fresh ideas and unconventional solutions.

Celebrating community and sharing success

Last but not least, Partner Day is also an opportunity to celebrate our successes. It is a thank you to all our partners for the great cooperation, trust and commitment they invest in their partnership with maxcluster every day. Our after-show party is more than just the end of the first day – for us, it is a highlight where we celebrate successes, enjoy the moments and honor our shared journey.

Looking to the future

Partner Day is also a place to plan for the future. Together, we look ahead, discuss upcoming trends and challenges, and strategize on how to not only keep pace but lead the industry. It's about not just staying current, but staying a step ahead, and we do that best when we're all working together.

RubberDuck und Pinguin

We organize the Partner Day because we value our relationships with our partners. It is a day for meeting, exchanging ideas and drawing inspiration. A day on which we show that we are not just suppliers and partners, but a community that achieves more together. And it is precisely this community that makes the maxcluster Partner Day an unforgettable experience – every year.

Highlights of the presentations

Managing Director Sebastian kicked off the event with an inspiring speech in which he emphasized the importance of reliability at maxcluster – a reliability that serves as the basis for our partnerships. He thanked our partners for acting as a link to our customers and supporting us every day.

Sebastian Ringel

After that, our partner managers Jan and Markus presented a comprehensive update (not only) on organizational topics. They presented the new agency business directory, explained customer expectations for the Black Friday season and how maxcluster can provide support. They also provided insights into changes to the offer form, the new partner levels and what is being worked on at the partner portal.

maxcluster technology and internal processes

The presentations by our maxcluster employees and partners alternated in two rooms, covering topics ranging from current technology trends to practical insights into our internal processes and tools.

It was impressively presented how AI prompting and ChatGPT are used at maxcluster to revolutionize the e-commerce landscape and open up new opportunities.

In another presentation, our Customer Advisory Board was introduced, which will help us to better understand customer needs and develop solutions tailored to them.

Another important presentation was about troubleshooting performance issues in online shops. Under the title “Done everything, but the shop is still slow? Tips for better shop performance!” maxcluster “cheat codes” were presented, which we use for quick troubleshooting and to deal with general performance issues. This presentation offered participants valuable insights into the tools we use to develop such codes and thus optimize the performance of our customer websites.

Blick durchs Schlüsselloch

In addition, detailed insights into the processes and workflows in the maxcluster service were provided. Presentations on live support requests, the use of BetterStack to monitor and ensure the stability of our services, and the security measures and incident management at maxcluster rounded off this section.

Technical insights and partner presentations

The morning continued with an exciting panel discussion moderated by Laura Kremer from Kandu, in which the current state of German e-commerce agencies was examined. Mario Nahke (Nahketing), Timo Engel (hmmh) and Niklas Zimmermann (Hob by Horse) discussed competition between agencies, challenges in customer acquisition and specialization in the market.

Further talks followed, including one by Benjamin Eberlei from Tideways about the importance of good profiling for the performance of web applications. He explained how Tideways removes the guesswork from performance optimization and how bottlenecks can be quickly identified through detailed insights. A special highlight for all partners: they now have the opportunity to use a free Tideways license for their agency servers exclusively on maxcluster servers.

Blick in die Zuschauer

Rico Neitzel from run_as_root GmbH inspired with a critical look at Composable Commerce and MACH architectures. He highlighted important aspects such as project costs, responsibilities and challenges that are often overlooked.

ECOPLAN GmbH then concluded day 1. Sebastian Ehrling and Laura Raub's topics showed reasons why B2C e-commerce projects are losing their appeal, the huge market potential in B2B e-commerce and discussed arguments for the digitization of B2B sales.

On the second day, Dima Janzen from cobby showed how online store owners can reduce manual effort and get the most out of their Magento store through more efficient product data maintenance.

Jens Grube and Marc Cormann from Think11 shared successful strategies for Google Shopping and gave practical tips for optimizing and improving search results. They showed how to use the synergies of Google Organic Shopping and Google Shopping to maximize success.

Blick in die Zuschauer 2

In his lecture, Maico M. Friedrich from DATANAUT explained how organizational, methodological and technical measures can ensure a high degree of security, stability and performance in data exchange with SHOPWARE, without blowing schedules and budgets.

Finally, Christian Münch and Elias Henrich from valantic took a look at the opportunities and challenges of AI in e-commerce and explained how these technologies affect the development and operation of software using practical examples.

Conclusion

Gaestebuch

Partner Day 2024 once again proved the value of direct exchange – thanks to inspiring talks, exciting discussions and unforgettable moments. We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone who made this day so special, and we look forward to continuing to achieve great things together in the future. And for everyone who couldn’t be there: We recorded everything on video ;-).
